Use of the competence approach in the organization of scholastic practical lessons on discipline «Anatomy of animals»

There are revealed features of the organization of the training sessions of practice on discipline «Anatomy of animals» in the case studies on «Skin cover and its derivatives» in view of the competence-based approach.

In contrast to the qualification, the concept of competence includes in addition to purely professional knowledge and skills such qualities as initiative, ability to cooperate, work in a group, communication skills, ability to think logically, to select and use information. Therefore, the traditional system of education in which students passed the theoretical knowledge is ineffective in the present conditions. Great importance attaches to educational and industrial practice.

Proper organization of the training sessions of practice increases the interest of students to master the skills, knowledge, abilities and their practical application, that is necessary for the development of courses in other disciplines and the formation of professional and general cultural competencies of the future specialist.
