Status, trends and prospects of the development of wine-making complex in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

This article analyzes the current state of viticulture and winemaking complex in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, detects the industry's major problem – poor resource base that contributes to the shortage of raw materials and a high price for it (especially domestic).
To solve the problem of vineyards scientists of the institute «Magarach» proposed project «Program of development of viticulture and winemaking of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea up to 2025», which supposes phased renovation of vineyards with the quality requirements of the resulting material.
The process of implementation of the program consists of two stages: 1) an intensive reconstruction and relaying of existing plantations (up to 2020), 2) improving the existing production capacity and development of the industry to a new level (up to 2025).
It is envisaged that in the result of the program varietal restructuring of the industry will happen, the area under the direction of table varieties, the share of technical grades of champagne direction, indigenous varieties, cultivars with resistance group will increase, the assortment of table grapes will significantly expands, the export will intensify.
