Information and communication technology in teaching of professional subjects cycle as a tool for implementation of the approach, based on competencies

The article is devoted to information and communication technologies in education, the need for which is due to employers' requirements for professional competencies. The aim of this study was to form a set of conditions for the formation and development of general and professional competence, creativity and involvement of students in research activities.
Promising forms of information and communication technologies are educational and production excursion on businesses, the use of multimedia complex (which includes video lectures, quizzes, practical tasks, the base of documents and allows to correct all materials and create your own), work on simulators and training apparatus, the development of training materials jointly with the students, the implementation of programmed control.
The use of ICT offers great opportunities in the field of improvement of technologies, methods and organization of forms of training, update and complete didactic material by means of information technology.
