Hereford calf rearing in Agrofirm “Manchazhskaya”

Program to create a breeding base and the development of beef cattle in the Sverdlovsk region was first launched in the region in 2011. On its realization from the regional budget was allocated more than 6 million rubles, the same amount provided and the federal budget. The program provides the organization the region four breeding reproducers, to do this it was planned by 2014. December 25, 2011 in the Sverdlovsk region from Denmark 123 heifers were imported and placed in LLC “Agrofirma Manchazhskaya”. We have ana-lyzed the dynamics of growth and development of Hereford in Agrofirma “Manchazhskaya” on heifers born in winter (dates of birth December –February) over the past 3 years during the period from birth to 8 months of age in 3 groups: 2013 – 8 goals, 2014 – 8 goals, 2015 – 9 goals. The analysis of live weight showed that in the period from birth to 8 months age better developed generation 2014. Analysis of the dynamics of growth and development in OOO “Agrofirma Manchazhskaya” heifers aged 8 to 16 months was carried out on 2 groups: generation 2013, generation 2014. Analyzing the dynamics of growth shows that the generation of 2014 had a higher average live weight, compared with 2013 after weaning (average weight of calves of Her-eford breed in 2013 and 2014 was 242 and 255 kg respectively), but the 16 month this difference decreased and amounted to 3 kg of live weight. After analyzing the growth and development of calves of Hereford breed in LLC “Agrofirma Manchazhskaya”, technology of their cultivation, as well as the cost of cultivation for 2013 and 2014 , we have established that the cost of 1 kg increase per 1 head in 2013 amounted to 859,95 rub., in 2014 – 365,58 rub., which is below 42.5 %.
