Human resource management and human resource management in modern Russian organi-zations

The article describes the evolution of personnel management, which affected both foreign and Russian organizations. Are distinguished features of personnel management, human resources management and per-sonnel management as stages in the development of personnel management. The notion of human resource management as "a strategic and holistic approach to the management of the most valuable assets of the organization, namely the people who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of organizational goals" (M. Armstrong), highlighted the basic principles related to the or-ganization's staff as human resources. Particular attention is paid to the differences in human resource man-agement from personnel management. The conclusion is that today the human resources management in our country was formed in large international companies and other organizations, it is the individual principles, approaches, technologies, methods, which are gradually being implemented in the traditional personnel man-agement.
