Latin terminology and «false friends of an interpreter»

The article deals with a semantic transfer in teaching Latin terminology, analyzes the differences and similarities in teaching methods of the Latin language and a modern foreign language. The authors examine specific examples of causes and consequences of influence of the native language on learning Latin terminology and give practical guidelines for the educational process.
