Protection of purity and wealth of the Russian language
N. N. Tselischev, doktor filosofskih nauk, professor Uralskogo gosudarstvennogo agrarnogo universitetaIn the thousands of years of Russian history borrowings of foreign words in Russian language were explained by economic and political reasons. The classics of Russian literature have always opposed against such borrowing, especially when they were unnecessary. In the early years of the Soviet state there was a struggle for the purity of the Russian language (Vladimir Lenin, Vladimir Mayakovsky). In 1950 there was a fierce debate on the theoretical problems of linguistics, initiated by Stalin, which resulted in the conviction of the idealistic views of Marr and his followers. Today it is necessary to fight against the abuse of the Anglo-Americanisms in the rich Russian language. In child preschool institutions, schools, colleges and universities the Russian language, literature, and history of the Russian state should be the main items that will bring a highly moral man, a great patriot of his country.
