The chubushnik (Philadelphus L.). The genus includes about 50 species, native mainly in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. Deciduous shrubs are multi-barreled, sprawling, densely leafy, with an egg-shaped crown. Flowers large, white or cream-colored petals, odorless or with a strong flavor, usually 5-7 pieces. It’s collected at the ends of lateral branches in racemose inflorescences, but often solitary. A life expectancy is 70 years. Successfully growing in full sunlight, and in the penumbra, shading can make a significant, but in these conditions the bloom poorly. Quite demanding for the richness and moisture of the soil, can tolerate temporary drought, but not excessive moisture. For abundant blooms is necessary to periodically feeding mineral and organic fertilizers. Satisfactory tolerate unfavorable conditions of the city. Among the many ornamental shrubs deserve special attention. Most species chubushnika are beautiful flowering shrubs are the decoration of any plot. Bloom annually and abundantly. Thanks to the beautiful, numerous, fragrant flowers, various terms of flowering deservedly received recognition and widespread. It is valuable and what mock oranges bloom to the period when most of the shrubs have withered. With proper selection of species, flowering at different times, you can create a colorful composition of some mock oranges. Used in single and group plantings, forest edges for decoration, creating a wide hedges. Undersized types and forms recommended for borders and container plantations.
