The purpose of this article is the agricultural complex of the Russian Federation. Agricul-ture is the basic branch of the agro-industrial complex. In Russia, it accounts for about 6% of the value of fixed assets, it employs 12% of the total number of employees. Agriculture produces 6.5 per cent of gross domestic product and about 6 per cent of national income. Demand for con-sumer goods is almost three-quarters satisfied by this industry, and it is one of the main suppliers of raw materials for the industry-light, food, feed, etc. More than half of the country's agricultur-al products are currently used as raw materials. In turn, agriculture is a major consumer of industrial goods. The industry supplies the vil-lage of tractors, cars, machinery, equipment, fuel and lubricants, fertilizers, fodder etc. In the structure of production costs of agricultural products, the share of industrial goods accounts for up to 40 %. Thus, the development of a number of industries largely depends on the demand from agriculture, and at the same time the successful functioning of agricultural enterprises is largely determined by the level of industrial development.
