Abstract.  This article discusses important aspects of the electric power industry in the world of digital technologies, as well as the modernization of relations in the electric power sector in the current period. The author draws a conclusion about the inevitability of global digitalization in the electric power industry, considers the problems that can be encountered as a result of this transition and speaks about the advantages of such a transition.
